CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Insolight is an innovative company based in Lausanne (CH) building agrivoltaic installations, with a single infrastructure providing agricultural protection on top of solar energy. The system dynamically adjusts shading on crops, while harvesting the excess light into electricity. By replacing plastic tunnels, the market opportunity is sizable: berries alone represent more than 200 GWp of potential in Europe.

We are now multiplying projects with growers across Europe, with more than 20 hectares / CHF 30 Mio of projects in the pipeline. Our team is passionate about building a solution that impacts both energy and agriculture, tackling multiple Sustainable Developments Goals at once.

Role and key responsibilities:

On top of our growing needs to manage corporate finance, developing financing solutions for the assets is becoming a key part of our offering. We are thus looking for a hands-on Chief Financial Officer capable of handling both aspects:

Corporate finance

• Overall financial management
  • Reliable financial bookkeeping, modeling, reporting and controlling
  • Management of administrative team (accountant, administrative assistant)
  • Financial, business planning and cash flow management
• Due diligence support for equity fundraising

Project finance

• Organize structure for project financing
• Run installation cash flow and perform sensitivity analysis on IRR
• Support fundraising & debt financing (asset funds, banks, etc…)

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance
• 10+ years of professional experience
• Past experience in controlling
• Past experience with project/asset financing
• Great energy, entrepreneurial mindset
• Genuine interest in sustainability
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Flexible and able to successfully navigate in a fast-paced organization
